I’m Angkan. I’ve worked in fintech, SaaS, legaltech, and Web3. Some of those were startups, some were scaleups, a few were possibly just group chats with a logo and one was a bot that talked like your uncle and helped you find apartments in Barcelona.
My background spans go-to-market strategy, product positioning, business development, and writing reports that attempt to explain what’s happening out there and why it might matter. I’ve built things from scratch, helped others grow faster, and occasionally asked inconvenient questions at the wrong time, which tends to be useful in the long run.
I’m mostly interested in how ideas become valuable. Not just how they work, but how they land. What makes people care, pay, stay. Strategy is fine, but only if it eventually ships.
I’ve lived and worked in Singapore, Mumbai, Shanghai, Barcelona, and the US. Moving between places taught me what to value most when everything else is unfamiliar — how to hit the ground running, listen first, and pay attention to the small things that shape how teams grow. Culture isn’t just a backdrop; it defines how momentum builds, how decisions get made, and what progress looks like.
When not working, I run a Singaporean food project in Barcelona called Weekend Kopitiam. I also write things I don’t publish, walk long distances for fun, and run just far enough to avoid thinking too much. It seems to work.
